Your pitch is yours
Draft: business details are still being added. Please contact us with any questions in the meantime.
Beyond Quantum Technologies Private Limited (“we”) runs Shark Trials, a voice practice tool where you pitch to AI judges or sell to an AI customer. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it and the rights you have. We are the “Data Fiduciary” for your data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, display name and preferences. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google; we never see your Google password. Guest accounts have no email.
- Your practice: what you say in trials (as text), the judges' replies and positions, your debriefs, ideas and briefs you save, and text taken from decks you upload. The deck file itself isn't kept.
- Usage and safety: trial counts and timings, estimated AI costs, and a one-way code derived from your network address when an account is created, used only to stop abuse such as mass guest accounts. We don't store your IP address itself.
- Payments (when paid plans open): your plan, payment status and transaction references. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay and never reach us.
- Support: messages you send us, and a trial transcript only if you choose to share it.
What we don't keep
Raw audio isn't recorded or stored. Your voice is turned into text live by your browser's speech service (which may send audio to the browser maker, such as Google or Apple, to transcribe it) and then discarded.
Why we use it
- To run your trials, generate the judges' replies and voices, and write your debrief.
- To keep your history, ideas and progress so you can practise again.
- To keep the service safe and affordable: daily limits, abuse detection and cost controls.
- To answer support requests and, with paid plans, to process payments and keep tax records.
- To improve the judges and the product. We review practice sessions for this; we don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you create an account and start trials, and for the legitimate uses the law allows, such as security and legal compliance. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your data (see below).
Who processes it for us
- Google (the Gemini API): writes the judges' questions, voices and your debrief. Your transcript, brief and deck text are sent to it during a trial. Under the Gemini API's free terms, Google may use what it receives to improve its products, and people at Google may review it. Don't put anything in a pitch that you need to keep confidential.
- Google: sign-in (if you choose it), and Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used (it sets cookies and receives a shortened IP address and browser details, never your pitches).
- Cloudflare and Neon: hosting and database. Data may be stored and processed outside India, including in the United States and Europe, with appropriate safeguards.
- Razorpay: payments, once paid plans open.
Each provider may only use your data to provide its service to us, except where its own terms say otherwise as noted above.
AI judges
Judges and customers are AI simulations. Some judges are shown under names inspired by well-known investors; they are not those people, aren't affiliated with or endorsed by them, and nothing they say is a real offer or financial advice.
Who can see your data
You, and the Shark Trials team. The team can see account details, ideas, decks' text, transcripts, judges' positions and debriefs, to run the service, answer support, prevent misuse and improve the judges. Every time the team opens a user record it is written to an audit log. We never show your pitches to other users and never sell them.
How long we keep it
- Your account and practice history: until you delete them or your account.
- Daily backups: each is kept for 30 days, so deleted data disappears from backups within 30 days.
- Audit and payment records: as long as the law requires (for example, tax records).
Your rights
- Access and correction: see your history in the app and change your name and preferences on your Profile.
- Erasure: delete a single trial, an idea, or everything from your Profile. This is immediate in the app.
- Grievances: contact our Grievance Officer (The founder of Shark Trials); email sharktrials.global@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 63881 73047. We reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominee: you may nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to; tell us who.
Children and teenagers
Shark Trials is meant for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to this policy and the Terms for you. We don't knowingly target advertising at, or track the behaviour of, anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes their child is using Shark Trials without consent can contact us and we will delete the account.
Cookies and storage
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure. Your theme choice is stored in your browser. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies to count visits.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the team and logged, sign-in sessions are signed and expire, and the service is protected against common web attacks. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app before the change applies.
